Commercial Tenant’s Checklist
If you have a valid trade licence issued by either the Dubai Economic Department or a Dubai Government Free Zone, you are eligible to rent a commercial property in Dubai. Use this handy guide before you sign the lease on your business premises.
Make sure you have the right licence from Dubai Economic Department or free zone.
Work out what you need in terms of size, location, infrastructure and budget.
Viewings and fit out
Once you have found your chosen unit, check whether you need a fit out budget.
Calculate costs including utility bills, telephone and internet connection.
Check who is responsible for maintenance - you or the landlord - budget accordingly.
Ask your consultant to advise you on what documents you will need to submit.
Make an offer on your chosen unit through your consultant - negotiating if possible.
Sign your agreement
Once your tenancy agreement is drawn up, check it is RERA attested before signing.
